Blogger is a blog publishing system. It was created by Pyra Labs, which was bought by Google in 2003. The service itself is located at www.blogger.com, and blogs that do not publish to their own websites are hosted by Google at subdomains of blogspot.com.
Which ever hosted email services you might already have, Google allows you to sign up with them using which ever email hosting providers you already have when signing into Google you will be signing in using which ever already email address you have on hand. like if i have an free email address tipsforextraincomeonline@yahoo.com then when signing into Google i will be using this email
tipsforextraincomeonline@yahoo.combut it is also best if you use a different password then from your address for email you already have with your hosted email services.

A weblog, sometimes written as web log or Weblog, is a Web site that consists of a series of entries arranged in reverse chronological order, often updated on frequently with new information about particular topics. The information can be written by the site owner, gleaned from other Web sites or other sources, or contributed by users.
A weblog often has the quality of being a kind of "log of our times" from a particular point-of-view. Generally, weblogs are devoted to one or several subjects or themes, usually of topical interest, and, in general, can be thought of as developing commentaries, individual or collective on their particular themes. A weblog may consist of the recorded ideas of an individual (a sort of diary) or be a complex collaboration open to anyone. Most of the latter are moderated discussions.

A popular weblog is Slashdot.org, the product of programmer and graphic artist Rob Malden and several colleagues. As a format and content approach for a Web site, the weblog seems popular because the viewer knows that something changes every day, there is a personal point-of-view, and, on some sites, there is an opportunity to collaborate or respond with the Web site and its participants.
LiveJournal
LiveJournal (often abbreviated LJ) is a virtual community where Internet users can keep a blog, journal or diary. LiveJournal is also the name of the free and open source server software that was designed to run the LiveJournal virtual community. LiveJournal's differences from other blogging sites include its WELL-like features of a self-contained community and some social networking features similar to other social networking sites.
LiveJournal was started on April 15, 1999 by Brad Fitzpatrick as a way of keeping his high school friends updated on his activities. In January 2005, blogging software company Six Apart purchased Danga Interactive, the company that operated LiveJournal, from Fitzpatrick.
On December 2, 2007, Six Apart announced it was selling LiveJournal to SUP, a Russian media company that had been licensing the LiveJournal brand and software for use in Russia. The new owners unveiled a plan to upgrade the service, engage with the LiveJournal community and launch new products for advertisers. Not all blog hosting is free but thats why i think it is best to just use Blogger which is free, and what i think is also great with Blogger is they allow you to make money with google adsense program, and with Blogger your also allowed to place advertisements from other sources on your Blog as well.
I like Blogger because it is easy and fast way to load info, i do not have to know of much of any html, css or php for web site design, web design, web graphics, web development, They have a simple drag and drop interface that makes moving things around easy.
